Public Relations degree students committed with “Fiesta del Baquedano” of Melipeuco
After an agreement between Melipeuco City Hall and Public Relations degree, students of last-year will work in the creation and conduction of a communications plan aimed to promote the event that will take place in November in the commune. This Friday, the students arrived to the local launching in order to familiarize with the professional challenge they will face.
This 2014 is the second time that “Fiesta del Baquedano” is carried out in this locality of great tourism attractiveness located in the mountain valets of La Araucanía region. The “baquedanos” will exhibit the best of their rural culture in this event that includes a traditional fair and an innovative parade of allegorical carts, typical costumes and work tools.
Claudio Soto is one of the students who will contribute with his talent. “We assume the challenge of help in the production if this major event. We are already working on the launching that will take place in Temuco to invite the regional community. This visit help us to learn about the event, immerse ourselves in this place culture and share with them, thus deeply learning about this celebration”, he said.
“We are collaborating with the production and press management. This is great challenge; we are going to put into practice all we have learn over these four years, so – as class and students of the degree- we are very optimistic to comply with the expectative”, Paula Vergara commented
Paula Diez. Director of Public Reñations degree, valued the instance because along with contributing – also is- a learning space for the students. “This is a celebration in where we assumed the task of collaborate with Melipeuco, work we are doing with so much responsibility. This is in direct relation with the graduate profile, in where there are practical practices that ease the learning”, she stated.
Luis Mondaca, technical manager of Rural Development Program of the City Hall was the responsible of welcome the enthusiast students. “We need the degree support to generate expectation on the citizens to attend the second version that must be better than the first one. This celebration emerged with the idea to rescue the history so is very important for all us”, he said.
“Fiesta del Baquedano” inauguration will carried out in Temuco at Universidad Autónoma de Chile, on Tuesday 21, October with the presence of important regional and national media coverage.
