Remember that to apply for face-to-face mobility it is a requirement
  • Be aware of and willing to comply with all the sanitary measures published and to be published by the Chilean government and university authorities in the official media.
  • Agree with the conditions of the in-person mobility program published in the application form.
  • Be aware that the conditions of this call may vary according to what is indicated by the authorities of the University and the Government of Chile through the Ministry of Health.
  • To be able to come to Chile you need an acceptance letter that you have to take to the closest consulate in your country and to process your Student Visa.

*You cannot enter Chile without a Student Visa.

– UA demands that each one of the students comes with a health insurance. The insurance must include: repatriation and it cannot only be for emergencies, it must not have refund policy, but direct payment.

*The university will not cover any medical insurances, it is responsibility of each one to have this information.

– To be able to apply for subjects, you must communicate with your Degree Director or Secretary (this information is in your letter of acceptance).

– At UA we have integration programs of students of exchange called “UA partners” where, from your country, you can have access to our Facebook page, WhatsApp groups and Social Networks, to obtain all the information you need before you leave!

What language do you need to study at Universidad Autónoma de Chile?

UA does not demand a language test to come and study here. Although, a competent Spanish level is required to come to class, since all classes are in Spanish.

How many Campuses does the University have?

The university is located at different spots throughout the country (Santiago, Talca and Temuco), each campus has its own degrees. Therefore, if you want to do an exchange at UA you must check the degrees and the campus that has it.

What requisites must I have to be accepted by UA?

After being selected by your University, you must complete the UA form and upload the following paperwork: copy of your passport, photo, introduction letter, motivation letter, curriculum and degrees.

When does a semester start at UA?

The university has 2 semesters: First Semester (Autumn from March 1st until July) and Second Semester (Spring from August to the first days of December)

Do you need a Student Visa to come to Chile?

To come to Chile EVERY student must come with the Student Visa already processed.

What is Autónoma Partners?

At UA we have a buddy system of students that come through the exchange. Therefore, they are welcomed and accompanied by a group of students of the University called Autónoma Partners who are in charge of giving you support during the exchange.

Do I need a health insurance to come to Chile?

Yes, it is mandatory to have a medical insurance with repatriation; it must be complete, that does not only cover health emergencies and that cannot also be refunded.
